NVC Special Summer Workshops
The Northwestern Visayan Colleges (NVC) yearly Special Summer Workshops for children ages 3-15 years old will be held every summer and it started last 2002. The main objective of the workshop is to discover and develop the innate talents and skills of the children in the province of Aklan and its neighboring provinces.
NVC Special Summer Workshops is the longest running and the most participated workshop in Aklan since its inception. The workshop duration is one (1) month and there are around 300-400 participants who are expecting to enroll in various offerings. The workshops play a supportive role in finding ways for youth to express their perspectives that can have an impact in society.
The workshops also aim to raise community participation and build partnership with the business sector, civic organizations, foundations and individuals in order to provide the same opportunities to less privileged children to show-off as well as enhance their talents and be able to participate in this kind of activity.
