On Wednesday, April 8, 2026, Northwestern Visayan Colleges (NVC) conducted its much-anticipated Demo Teaching Festival at the NVC ASQ Building. Organized by the College of Education, the event gathered students, faculty, and staff in a meaningful academic showcase that highlighted the teaching competencies, creativity, and passion of future educators.

The festival featured selected College of Education students who served as demonstrators, representing different programs and specializations. Among the participants were Juliana Maxine Morales (4th year, BCAED), Emberlyn I. Nipis (3rd year, BEED), and BSED majors including Kyla Joy P. Asupardo (4th year, Filipino), Reign Aubrey C. Ramos (3rd year, Mathematics), and Remelyn C. Bayhon (2nd year, Social Studies). Each contestant delivered engaging demonstration lessons that reflected their mastery of subject matter and application of effective teaching strategies.

Throughout the event, participants showcased their skills in delivering lessons with clarity, enthusiasm, and creativity. They effectively utilized instructional materials and integrated technology to enhance student engagement and understanding. Their ability to present concepts through relatable examples demonstrated their preparedness for real classroom settings.

After careful deliberation, the panel of judges announced the winners. Remelyn C. Baylon (2nd year) secured 1st place with her outstanding performance, followed by Reign Aubrey C. Ramos (3rd year) in 2nd place, and Juliana Maxine Morales (4th year) in 3rd place. All participants were also awarded Certificates of Participation in recognition of their effort and dedication.

The Demo Teaching Festival served as a platform for aspiring educators to demonstrate not only their teaching skills but also their readiness and passion for the profession. With insightful feedback from the evaluators and strong support from the academic community, the event successfully reinforced the College of Educationโ€™s commitment to shaping competent and inspiring future teachers.
