FORESIGHT AND SUSTAINABILITY:

MAKING IT A WAY OF LIFE IN PUBLIC GOVERNANCE

โ€œWhatever you do for development, it should be aligned with the environment”

An impactful insight from John Carl T. Alonsagay, MA, an environmentalist, who shares his words to the various leaders of NVC’s clubs and organizations in the training seminar spearheaded by Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs (OVPAA) with the Office of the Student Affairs (OSA) today, August 7, 2024, at the NVC ASQ Building.

Alonsagay encourages youth leaders to start with their organizations to serve as a bottom of their institution. He emphasized the importance of consulting with the student body on how their organizations can become sustainable.

“You have to know the factors first in order to know what a sustainability plan is for and its primary purpose,” he advised. “It doesn’t have to be complex; you can just start with educating communities,” he added.

This training seminar was a vital part of the celebrations marking the 57th ASEAN Founding Anniversary with the theme, “Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience,” that aims to foster awareness and knowledge on how the world should attain sustainability.
