Heroic NVC Student Rescues Lives in Dramatic Boat Capsize
A 2nd-year NVC Criminology student, John Antonie Esto, displayed remarkable heroism near the Lambingan Pook Jetty Port in Kalibo when a boat capsized due to strong winds and heavy rain. The boat, carrying over ten passengers including children, minors, adults, and a dog, was in desperate need of assistance.
Fortunately, the BFP, MDRRMO, and Coast Guard arrived just in time to help rescue the remaining passengers from the capsized boat, collaborating with NVC High School alumni PSSg Genald Roxas, Patrolman Villanoche, MSG Joemar Ortega, and other helpers.
This prompt and selfless response by the officers and the NVCian showcases the exceptional bravery and community spirit within NVC. Their heroic actions undoubtedly saved lives and provided much-needed relief to the affected families.
NVC community is so proud of you John Antonie!
