In celebration of National Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Month, the DICT Aklan Provincial Office, in partnership with Northwestern Visayan Colleges (NVC) and the Aklan Provincial Youth Development Office, is conducting an ICT training series themed โBayang Digital ang Bagong Pilipinas” at the NVC ASQ Building on June 4, 2024.
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) students are seizing the opportunity to learn and experience the digital empowerment offered by the program. NVC President Angelo L. Quimpo also attended, providing insights to the students. โOpen your eyes to all the possibilities,โ he emphasized during his message. Additionally, Councilor Philip Y. Kimpo Jr., the founder of the Pulong ng Kabataan, advised the students, โPanghawakan niyo lang ang inyong talent, donโt listen to anyone who belittles your talent.โ
โBayang Digital ang Bagong Pilipinasโ celebrates the Filipino people’s pivotal role in ICT development. The DICT aims to encourage both citizens and the government to embrace the principles of Bagong Pilipinas and unite towards a nation fully embracing digitalization across governance, public service, industries, commerce, and lifestyle.
The DICT Regional Roadshow 2024 is the Departmentโs commitment to building a digitally inclusive Philippines. By bringing the Department closer to the people, the DICT believes that forging robust partnerships with citizens, local government officials, and relevant stakeholders across the country will help chart the Philippinesโ future as a secure, resilient, and prosperous digital nation.
