Under the leadership of NSTP Director Tsg Redentor L. Quimpo, PA (Ret), and Sgt Mark O. Alvarez (Inf) PA, NVC ROTC Admin NCO, the drive’s purpose is to enhance the coastal ecosystem and nourish environmental care among the students.
At 6:00 AM, students gathered at the entrance of Bakhawan Eco Park. Each participant was given two mangrove seedlings to plant.
The staff at Bakhawan Eco Park provided hands-on guidance on how to ensure that the seedlings were planted correctly, maximizing the chances of survival and growth for the mangroves.
These activities not only benefit the environment of the Bakhawan Eco Park but also to inculcate love of country, responsible choices and care for the preservation of the environment, ecology and humanity that follows the mission of NVC. Also, it will serve as a living testament to the students’ commitment to environmental conservation, cultivating an everlasting patrimony of sustainability in their community.
