In the spirit of Labor Day, various government agencies and participating employers showcased their commitment to supporting job seekers during the 122nd Labor Day Job Fair held at the Northwestern Visayan Colleges Gym in Aklan.
The event was marked by the presence of the Uswag Ilonggo Partylist, led by Congressman Jojo Ang, whose inspiring words ignited a sense of hope and optimism among the attendees. Ang’s commendable address highlighted the importance of empowering the Filipino workforce and fostering their participation in the country’s progress.
Aligned with the theme “BAGONG PILIPINAS: Manggagawang Pilipino, Kabalikat at Kasangga sa Pag-Asenso,” the job fair aimed to provide Aklanon job seekers with opportunities to stabilize their lives and secure meaningful employment that would sustain their daily needs. The event served as a platform for job seekers to connect with potential employers, explore various career options, and gain valuable insights into the job market with the help of participating agencies and private sector partners that offered a wide range of job vacancies, from entry-level positions to more specialized roles.
The Labor Day Job Fair that happened is more than just a one-day event, it’s a symbol of the resilience and determination of the Filipino people.
