Under the vibrant Kalibo skies, participants came together to reflect on the province’s journey, highlighting resilience and teamwork in overcoming various challenges. The event featured unfeigned and sincere speeches, cultural performances, and commendations to the rich cultural heritage of Aklan, encapsulating the spirit of unity and pride among its people.
One of the highlights of the celebration was the recognition of seven outstanding Aklanons by the congress for their extraordinary services to the community. Their commitment and accomplishments served as an inspiration to everyone present, showcasing the province’s capacity for constructive change and progress.
Senator Joel “Tesda Man” Villanueva, a prominent advocate for technical education and skill development, delivered a powerful speech during the program. Sen. Villanueva urged Aklanons to actively participate in addressing challenges, emphasizing the importance of unity and action. “Maging parte ka ng problema o maging parte ka ng solusyon,” Villanueva said, underscoring the significance of taking responsibility and contributing to solutions.
The memorial service held as part of the event provided a poignant reminder of the enduring spirit of the Aklanon community. It encouraged attendees to continue working towards harmony and advancement, uniting for the betterment of Aklan’s future.
The celebration not only marked a significant milestone in Aklan’s history but also served as a testament to the strength and resilience of its people in the face of adversity.
