NVC SDERT BAGS AWARDS IN PROV’L RESCUELYMPICS 2024
The Northwestern Visayan Colleges School Disaster Emergency Response Team (SDERT), bagged awards as being the 1st Runner-Up and Best in Water Search and Rescue (WASAR), during the 9th Aklan Provincial Rescuelympics 2024 held Aklan Sports Complex, Calangcang, Makato, Aklan on April 19, 2024.
Organized by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO), this contest is part of the celebration of the 68th Aklan Day on April 25, which aims to assess and showcase the Province of Aklan’s readiness for disasters and other unforeseen calamities.
Among the categories during the Provincial Rescue Olympics are the Inter-municipality Category, where various Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices participated, and inter-school categories for high schools and colleges.
Furthermore, the contest also recognized outstanding achievements with special awards in the following categories: Best Display in Rescue Equipment, Best in Basic Life Support, Biggest Contingent, Best in Vehicular Extraction, Best in First Aid Scenario, Best in Fire Fighting, Best in Uniform, Best in Safety Analysis, Best in Water Search and Rescue, Best in Multiple Casualty Scenario, Most Disciplined Team, and Best Swimmer.
The overall winners of the said contest have received cash prizes and a plaque of recognition.
