HONORING OUR EDUCATIONS: COLLEGE OF EDUCATION TEACHER’S DAY CELEBRATION

“A Teacher is a compass that activates the magnets of curiosity, knowledge, and wisdom.”-Ever Garrison

To celebrate World Teacher’s Day 2023, a program for teachers was successfully organized through the collaborative efforts of students from various departments and clubs within the College of Education at the Skyhall, located on the 3rd floor of the RSQ Building.

The program started with high spirits, led by the delightful Masters of Ceremonies, Luis Joseph Candari, and Grover Stephen Masula. As the College of Education teachers were welcomed, students cheered with enthusiasm, showing their gratitude for the event dedicated to them.

The performances and presentations began with an interpretative dance by the Arts and Motion Society, followed by a song and dance presentation by the Tanglaw ng Wika Club. Jacel Benigno from the SAMANA (Samahan ng mga mag-aaral na nagpapakadalubhasa sa Araling Panlipunan sa NVC) club serenated everyone with his amazing voice.

Meanwhile, a Zumba dance was conducted which was led by the students from the English Club, in which students enthusiastically participated.

Chim She Roberto and Giselle Magallanes from the English Club performed a meaningful spoken word poetry piece they had written titled “A Teacher’s Role.” Following this, the Magician Club President, Ivan Arranguez, delivered his genuine remarks to the teachers. Additionally, the club presented a video dedicated to the teachers titled “PasasalaMATH2023.”

To conclude the showcase of talents, two astonishing students from the BPED Department performed a dancesport routine, earning applause and cheers from everyone.

Furthermore, the students conveyed their heartfelt messages to their mentors, emphasizing that the best gift they could offer to their teachers was the application of what they had learned aspiring to become professionals themselves.

The Dean of the College of Education, a pioneer of success and professionalism and the nurturing figure of the College of Education, Dr. Marriane Lao-Quimpo, extended her warm welcome.

“Teaching is all about change and transformation. Teachers will always be a teacher…” Dr. Quimpo said during her welcome remarks.

The College of Education presented a bouquet to Dr. Quimpo, who then delivered a heartfelt expression of her gratitude to all the College of Education students.
