SPORTS| NVC STUDENTS SHINE AS BEST FORWARDS IN YORME’S CUP 2023
Two students from Northwestern Visayan Colleges (NVC) emerged as the Best Forward awardees during the Championship of the first-ever YORME’S CUP 2023 Inter Baranggay Basketball League Juniors Division on October 10, 2023, at the ABL Sports Complex, Capitol Site, Kalibo.
The recipients of the said awards are Dio Domenick Guillamar representing Team Tigayon and Hyuel L. Irodistan of Team Poblacion, both students of the NVC Bachelor of Science in Criminology (BSCrim), who stood out with their exceptional skills and dedication during the games. Their achievements have not only brought honor to the NVC but have also served as a source of inspiration to aspiring athletes.
YORME’S CUP 2023 Inter Baranggay Basketball League, which started on August 28, 2023, until October 10, 2023, organized by the Local Government Unit of Kalibo (LGU-Kalibo) under the leadership of Mayor Juris B. Sucro, which was participated by 16 barangays in Kalibo, Aklan, aimed to uncover and nurture the hidden talents of Kalibonhon in the field of basketball.
